Hi, I’m Genevieve—a speech-language pathologist, care partner supporter, and founder of LIFE Speech Pathology® and LIFE Aphasia Academy®.
For over 30 years, I’ve helped families move from chaos and survival into clarity, confidence, and connection after stroke or aphasia.
Whether you’ve just stepped into caregiving or have been walking this road for years—you’re not too late, and you’re not alone.
I created this course because I’ve seen what happens when care partners finally have a plan that makes space for them, too—not just their loved one.
You don’t have to hold it all together or figure it out on your own. I’ll be right there with you, helping you exhale, take the next step, and start building something stronger.
Warmly,
Genevieve
"This Sounds Great, But I’m Already Overwhelmed."
No worries! You'll have ongoing access to return anytime you need.
This mini-course was created with care partners in mind — especially spouses, adult children, and close family members supporting someone after a stroke. Whether your loved one has aphasia, cognitive challenges, or physical changes, the emotional and practical load you're carrying is real.
That said, the strategies inside are also helpful for stroke survivors themselves, rehab professionals, or anyone looking to better understand and support a stroke-impacted household. If you're ready to take the first step toward relief, you're in the right place.
There are just a few simple supplies we recommend having next to you while you watch this mini-course—nothing fancy or stressful. You’ll be writing down names, organizing thoughts, and actually starting your support map. Here’s what to bring:
• Sticky notes (or small pieces of paper)
• A pen or marker
• Note cards or any paper you can write on and move around easily
• (Optional) Colored pens to help organize as you go
Can’t find post-its or note cards? Don’t stress. Any scrap paper will work—we’re not here for perfect. We’re here to help.
